It was kinda a harsh word, but it's the truth.

The only regret that i have is that i probably ruined my friend's First Time.

for one, you get to live forever and ever after you die.
and sometimes you're more mature than the same aged people around you.
then cool things start happening and you suddenly feel very blessed.
but then people start being jealous and hate on you being holy moly.
and then you'll need to go through tough times where people hate you because you're a christian or your parents don't allow you to be one.
or maybe you'll go through temptations and then you see other people like having fun then you also wanna have fun.
but these obstacles makes us into a stronger person, helps us grow up.
There'll be ups and there'll be downs.
How will you react to it? Will you keep the faith and trust in God or will you only trust in Him if things are going your way?
Will you talk to God everyday or only when you got that feeling then you talk.

Yeah, sometimes we slip once in a while.
doing things we regret.
Others decides that it's too tough and just stop.

But whatever.

Today's my 18th birthday! (yippee!)
I can finally go and learn how to drive a car and a bike.
Then i can save up for a bike.
Then i'll ride motorbike around SG yo!!!!

Saw becky at Ben&Jerry's! She's working there!

But I didn't blow any candles today.... :(
Oh well.

So the other day, ummm, 2dec, jordan, bob, liu xin, vanessa and i WENT TO THE USS AND PLAY!!!

Needless to say, we had truckloads of fun!
Best thing was, 3rd dec was the official opening of the transformers ride BUT WE MANAGED TO TAKE IT AHAHHAHAA.
Turns out it was a "soft opening".

Queues were short, there weren't many people. (maybe because it was drizzling..)
Took the blue battlestar ride thrice and the red one twice.
:D

You need to open your eyes and lift arm your arms and wheeeeeeeee enjoy the ride!
REALLY.
Not scary at all.

Of course, what's a USS trip without pictures???

So as hinted, (by the title), I've FINALLY watched ALREADY FAMOUS!!!

Let me tell you.

It's a movie starring Alien Huang 小鬼黄鸿升, and Michelle Chong, with various cool actors and actressess as calefares.
And, it's directed by none other than MICHELLE CHONG HERSELF.
PRO. OR. WHAT.

Okay, if you actually followed her on twitter/facebook/watched behind the scenes, you realised that she had a lot on her shoulders.
Like really, she had to act, she had to make sure this and that, she had to direct, etc. etc.
And it was her first time directing this show!
The storyline/script was written by her like 7-8years ago though.

ANYWAY,
It was a touching movie. (yes i cried at like two scenes, go ahead laugh blah.)
There were many funny scenes.
鸿升too cute already. He just keep smiling spastically omg i wanna pinch that 小孩 face!
The fat boy too cute! "Ah kiao 姐姐，我现在都不吃po-ta-to chip了leh, 我只吃bro-co-li！"
Michelle act blur blur one so funny!
The two theme songs are like superrrrr good!
AND of course, it's really meaningful and there are many encouraging quotes!

So, main objective of the day was to buy THE prom dress.(reminds me why i didn't wanna go to prom in the first place....)

GP realisation

While studying for my General Paper, I've come to quite a number of realisation.

No, not a plethora of issues; my brain doesn't work that fast.

One such is below.

I seem to have low tolerance for people who are ignorant of their own immaturity of an issue/problem/flaw.

Especially when they actually have the audacity to confront/gossip others about their flaws!

Okay, so maybe they are not flawed in the area they are confronting/gossiping about, but it just doesn't make sense.

I mean, if someone stupid enough were to do that to me, i wouldn't even have bothered to listen! Who would???

It's like a drug addict telling a an alcoholic to stop drinking.

Okay, so maybe that's an exaggerated illustration but whatever. You get my point.

However, it is actually not entirely wrong for someone to be doing that out of good will or idk, some altruistic way of life.

The key here is how the approach is done. I'm not gonna elaborate on that, it's quite obvious how it should be done.
Right?

I mean, definitely not over harsh words or sacarstic hidden underlying scheming "goodwill" messages.

Surely everyone has their flaws.
Big or small, a flaw is a flaw.
(if you repeatedly read flaw for a few times it's as if i spelt it wrong)

So there's that.
I feel ready to tackle my GP tomorrow.

I am going to skillfully skillify my essay. Haha, banking on depth of arguments rather than content.
Of course, God. He always brings the right examples into my head.

Whatever the results, i don't really care!
Don't get me wrong, i love GP and the English Language and all. In fact, i love the whole i-can-argue-and-my-point-owns-all thing.

BUT, nothing beats blogging!
Having my own paragraphing to give anticipation or long pause, italics to suggest hidden meaning and pictures to throw in a thousand words.

Alrighty! Back to studying.

Seriously? I'm quite sure they fart a lot and secretly dirty the air that we breathe such that we'll get some disease and all die a mysterious death.

Stop the lies. I've heard enough of that shit. You guys can't even decide on which hdb flat to buy and invest for one whole year and suddenly we're gonna be rich enough to buy a landed property? You only give me money to shop for clothes once a year. -.- and you wonder where my red packet money went.

So tired of this emotional shit and drama.
Go ahead and watch all that Korean shows and neglect your role.

I wasn't kidding when i said i wanna move out after As. I've got ambitions and an aim in life.
I wanna experience other cultures and traditions and know more.

I don't wanna get into a bor-freakin-ring uni course and rot my whole life away doing something meaningless.

So many people nowadays are doing things that are meaningless. Yes, fun for that moment but really, from the outside it's quite pathetic.

And no, i'm not saying we can't have fun in life. I'm saying we need to know the boundaries to that so that we do not turn fun into regrets.

Our world today - devoid of love

Got this from my cousin's blog. (i wished i could write like that!)
I find this really true, most people don't even know what they're doing.
"I Love You" is used blatantly, such that those three words almost hold no meaning anymore.
Today, people find love in relationships. Futile attempts. Try again.

You guys out there need to know that love is more than just BGR or whatever lovey dovey stuff.

"I'm skeptical about love now. The type of love as described in 1 Corinthians 13:4 "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." It's rare, almost non-existent. We walk on the streets with our 'significant other', holding hands, doing the usual things that couples do, hugging, giving pecks on the cheek. We tell the other "I'll always be here for you", but in the end, we leave. To be honest, we haven't got a clue what love is. What we know about love comes from movies, love songs, the usual cliches.. We assume that love knows no boundaries, that it triumphs all, that as long as it's in your heart, all else does not matter, but in actual fact, love has lost its standing to greed, selfishness, materialism, self-indulgence and pride...

Love has become a thing of convenience, whether we can afford the time for it, whether it will be beneficial or not. We think of it as almost like a business investment, what are the stakes and sacrifices we'd have to make to get a certain return. Someone once said "The ending “Happily ever after,” now has several suffixes such as: “They lived happily ever after, until he ran out of money,”, “They lived happily ever after, until he found a mistress.”Depressing isn't it? Unfortunately, that's the sad reality. The whole idea of altruistic love no longer has a place in our society. There is so much else tolive for, too much more to strive for; a good reputation, social status, the perfect job, the biggest house, the newest car, the latest technology, fashionable clothes and the list goes on...

At the end of the day, it's "Me" that matters. I come first. Before and above anyone else. There's just not enough room for another person. You might love and care for someone else, to a great extent even, but it will not be the way you love yourself.

Perhaps you'll tell me that I'm wrong. That the love you have or experienced was not self-seeking, that it was the magnanimous, the self-sacrificing kind... You might be the exception. However, I think that it's highly likely you're delusional."

Selfless love does exist, but really, it's uncommon.

Yup!
I have hip pains.

Out of nowhere.

One morning (yesterday), i was fine, then after that it just slowly got worse :/
I've researched and come to two conclusions!!

I wouldn't be so cocky and proud and and have such an ass character and attitude that i'd fail interviews.

Reason to not night study:
FOOD SUCKS. end of story :(

Studied in the library today omggggggg it was so so so so SO cold!

The coldness totally slowed my brain thoughts --.

TODAY, I ALMOST DIED.

okay, not technically.
But the dumbest thing happened to me.

I was eating Tom Yum maggi noodles and my noodles slip from my spoon and plonked back into the soup and GUESS WHAT HAPPENED.
A drop of tomyumish soup got reflected back up, defying gravity, going against all odds, IT WENT INTO MY LEFT EYE.
MY. LEFT. EYE.

It was damn pain i thought i was going blind i practically stood under my tap and force open my eye into the running water.
Then i took eye drops and like dropped like 4-5drops into my eye.
Then i read the instructions and it said only to use 1-2 drops....
And i thought it might be idk, too acidic for my eye so i washed the eye drops away...

Conclusion,
I'm never eating tomyum maggi noodles anymore for like maybe a month.

Staying in Singapore and wanna go to some beach resort all the way at Hawaii because of the clear blue seas, soft sand and awesomely friendly people?

Haha!! That sounds like some quintessential advertisy-advertisement.

Yes, among all these stress from my exams, i can't help but think about my post A Levels get-away right?
If you're wondering if that picture above is how that beach look like, you're wondering right.
CAUSE I'VE BEEN THERE BEFORE(3 times) AND IT'S A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

Clear blue waters.
Soft unbelievable sand.
Low tide mornings that reveal the beautiful corals.
Range of activities.
Awesome staff.
Awesome stuff. (hah!)
Quite good food ;)

Rate: 8/10

BEST PART IS it's only in Malaysia!!!
2hours of car ride to Mersing, less than half an hour speed boat ride to this cute lil' island.
It's a little like Tioman Island (if you've been there), but smaller and with lesser people.

The downside is that it's kind of expensive....
Approximately RM400 per person per night.
This includes 2 way boat ride, welcome drink, three meals, one night stay.
SO, you might want to persuade your parents/rich husband/boyfriend/friend to bring you there! Well, if you're rich....JUST GO LA.

I tell you, it's so awesome!!!
4 day 3 nights stay isn't enough man. You just wanna stay there forever kind of thing... haha! really really really very relaxing over there.
But do take note, you don't wanna go there during Malaysia's rainy/monsoon season. (although it is slightly cheaper if you go during low season..)

Activities:
-snorkling
-diving
-kayaking
-island hopping
-wind surfing
-fishing
-pool
-hill climbing
-relaxing at bar

Things to note:
-weather/tidal stuffs.
-the left side of the beach is more ulu (but there's still people there) and if you stay in the water for long, you actually get bites.(jellyfish babies? sea cockroach?? i don't know :/) but i'm not sure if this is still happening though.
-bring some tidbits/food/red wine, a la carte food may be quite expensive.
-bring torchlights just in case
-careful of the sea urchins!!! (the far left and right side beach deeper waters have them!)
-never wander off too far in the waters without telling anyone. you never know when there are sudden tidal changes.
-do not go into waters during a storm/rain!!!! the waters may look like nothing but once inside, it's a whole other story.

Specials:
-all the way to the right, there's this shark spotting 'tower'
-loads of marine life!!!
-wake up early to see corals while walking at the super low tide beach.(careful not to step/spoil the corals though)
-they have ping pong table!! :D
-there's actually a public piano for whoever that wants to play it at the dining area (dining is buffet style so you have to be quick cause the food's yummy)
-interact with the friendly staff and get to know more about the island!

Note: The last time i went there was 3 years back. I think the place is more known now so there might be more people. So the same number of staff members may not be able to handle the needs of so many people as well (??)

Hopefully, the corals and beach is still nice, pretty and unspoilt.

-you should try it plain, 50%sugar. veryyyy refreshingly nice.

My All Time Fav, Earl Grey Milk Tea!!
My first time trying it was when i ordered it with pudding and 70% sugar level.

It was nice, but too sweet for my liking.

FYI, when it's too sweet, you drink a few sips and stop drinking, you'll feel like your throat or something will be uncomfortably dry.

The earl grey milk tea was nice, i could tell. But every few sips of my drink, i had to chew on the pudding thing and (it's not like it's not nice, it IS nice) it's just kind of zhor deng. I couldn't exactly savour my EG milk tea properly!!

Then the second time i ordered 50% sugar level with pudding.

Much better.

The third time, i found my fav combi.

Simplicity at its best - Earl Grey Milk Tea 50% sugar level.

It's different from any normal milk tea you find on the streets e.g Sweet Talk/opened at market.

The amount of...... milkiness is just nice for me, not too milky, yet milky enough you can taste it in your mouth and it stays there for a few seconds.

And it's just so........ refreshing!!!!

Ps. I'm not trying to advertise for gongcha or whatsoever (they didn't pay me i wished they did hahaha :( ) This is just a personal opinion!

Well, not for me.

Why i think Mos Burger>Subway:
1. I LOVE MOS BURGER'S TERIYAKI CHICKEN BURGER.
2. it's milk tea is surprisingly......really nice!
3. it has a larger variety(the ones that i like)
e.g. teriyaki/fried/normal chicken, fried/non-fried prawn, beef, unagi, fish, croquette, vegetarian type burger.
4. i can get sick of eating Subway's sandwiches

Why most people would think Subway>Mos Burger
1. MEAT, MEAT, &MORE MEAT.(and like tuna)
2. it looks healthy!
3. it's more filling.
4. they have cookies (i really love subway cookies!)

(both prices with the meal are about the same so i shall not talk about the price..)

Conclusion: Winner based on personal preference.

Personally, i only eat the teriyaki chicken burger in Mos Burger. :/ (hahahahahahahhaa)
I actually don't really eat their rice burger.
I don't like crispy/really hard rice so... :/

Instant noodles: are they healthy or not?

OF COURSE THEY ARE!

IF you are eating those that are made by my mum.

Normal instant noodles stuff:

-boil water

-open the pack of instant noodles

-put in the noodles and cook

-after the noodles are cook, put in the packet stuffs that comes with the noodles

-serve

(probably looks like this)

Mum's instant noodles stuff:

-boil water

-cook noodles

-pour away the water (because it is apparently filled with the noodle's wax thing)

-put cooked noodles aside in a boil

-boil water

-put vegetables, fishball, meatball, whatever ingredients that you may like and cook it

-add in the noodles & egg

-put in half the MSG whatever packet stuff that comes with the noodles

-serve

(probably looks like this depending on the ingredients)

And that is why my mum's instant noodles are the healthiest ever.

Plus, one serving will make you really full.(because of all the ingredients)

The only bad thing is that it takes about twice as long as preparing normal instant noodles.

Which means... you're not really preparing instant noodles anymore.

you're just preparing.... noodles.

Totally had an embarrassing encounter today.

vanessa, qz and i were walking out of the canteen's toilet there.

and they were talking talking and qz said something about 'falling'.

me, being, well...me, i started singing

" cause tonight i'm FALLING and i can'ty get up i need your loving hands to come and pick me up~~ "

and...

while we are about to make the turn that is near the bookshop there, 4 guys walked that turn towards the toilet area there...........

OMG KILL ME PLEASE.

i was singing (i don't sing well :( ) so loudly cause it was like 6plus and i there was so little ppl in canteen!!!

i am SO SUAY.

Love like no other.

I met Him for the first time in a middle of a field. He studied the shovel in my hand and the old rucksack at my feet and said, “Son, what’s in the bag?” “Well,” I answered, “this here is the sum of all the rotten things I’ve done, which I’ve found and bound and am layin’ in the ground. You see, these rotten things, they keep me up nights, and they draw a cold stare from folks who know what’s inside. “Well, let’s have a look,” He said, and motioned for me to hand over the bag. I tossed it at his feet, hoping the stench inside would send Him on His way so I could attend to my business. But he untied the ropes that bound that bag and peered inside, and I felt as though He was staring into my soul. I watched his eyes travel from one piece of filth to another, but His expression never changed; it was though He’d seen it all before. He tied the bag back up and swung it over to me. Then he smiled, turned to me, and said, “yea, I think I can fix that.”

“You see,” he said, “there’s a medicine in my blood more powerful than any doctor could prescribe or any sorcerer could conjure up. One drop is enough to send that sack of ugly to never never land. What’s more,” he continued, “it’s doubles as a vaccine; it’ll keep you safe from any other bits of ugly you might run into down the road.” “Well sir,” I replied, “I’m grateful for the generous offer, but these rotten bits belong to me, and I won’t have you shedding your innocent blood over mistakes you didn’t make.” He sighed deeply; and while His disappointment was evident, I couldn’t help but take some satisfaction in rejecting His proposal. Who did He think he was, anyway? I’d never taken a handout from anyone in my life, and I wasn’t about to start now. As He turned to leave, He called out to me, “if you change your mind, then come sundown, bring that bag of yours to the old oak tree on the hill at the end of your field. I’ll be waiting for you there, son.”

I slaved all night over that hole and covered that bag with what seemed like half of the earth, but no depth could hold the stench of its filth. I piled the dirt higher and higher, but that sack of ugly always rose to the top. I beat the ground in despair and frustration until my weary hands were bloody and bruised, and I cried out to God in desperation, cursing him for an affliction that I knew was my own creation. All the pain that I’d caused and corners I cut stood before me, mocking my effort. Hopeless and helpless, I remembered the words of the man whose offer I denied: “I’ll be waiting for you, son.” I threw the bag over my shoulder and ran, stumbling along with my massive burden in tow. Pain shot through my muscles and bones; the toxic fumes lit a fire in my lungs, but I fixed my eyes on the hill and I kept running. And there He was, just as He said he would be, leaning against the old rugged tree with arms outstretched. I collapsed at His feet beneath the weight of my filth, and above my gasps for air, I heard Him calmly say, “it is finished.”

I was sold into slavery, I was bound by insecurity. I was hellbent on treachery, 'til you spread your arms and you covered me.

i had a weird dream last night.

Actually, two.

You know how your dreams sometimes just jump to another?

Then somehow it jumps back to the same one and continue?

Mine was somehow like that.

At first i was dreaming about some person that released a i-hated-you-for-so-long anger+shouting and i angrily retorted then i think somehow that person hurt me and...

poof.

i was suddenly at this hill-like place with lots of rocks and stone and i actually thought to myself "Why skip dream? I want to know what's gonna happen for the previous one"

"It's just a dream right? So i can control."

then i closed my eyes.

and thought about doing somersaults.

AND I STARTED TO DO FREAKING SOMERSAULTS LIKE THOSE JUMP AND SPIN IN FRONT BEFORE YOU JUMP INTO SWIMMING POOL?!

I DID A FEW WTS.

it was damn weird cause my eyes were closed but i never hit the floor until i thought of wanting to hit the floor....

And then i was back to continuing my first dream.

i swear my dreams are never normal.

Psychologically scary but physically unscary.

Other than that, the ion count test is the most scary! Not the scary scary, but the ah! you scared me! scary.

I guess my greatest fear that i've discovered so far is that i fear getting rejected.

It stops me from even attempting something in the first place.

So... i am trying.

No matter how many times i get rejected, i will keep on trying.

Because i know it will be all worth it.

God has a plan and a purpose and He knows what's best for us. (heard many times right?)

and eventhough things may just seem so sucky right now, it may not be in the future.

IF if if if ifffff IF we follow His direction.

that itself is not enough.

WE NEED TO BE RESPONSIBLE for what we want.

if we want our lives to be for the better, we CHANGE, we trust in God.

we fast, we pray, we do whatever it takes.

ultimately, it is our desire for what we want for the rest of our lives that actually drives us.

(yes this is what i learnt from sermon today)

no, not that life sucks blah blah part, that was made up by me.

ANYWAY,

i wasn't always i christian ;)

in fact, i used to be anti-christ.

hahaha! cannot believe right! i loved to debate with Josephine whenever she starts talking about God and whatever thing.

well, and i am someone who fights for what i believe in.

i used to believe in err the buddhism/taoism thingy and read the simple cheeeena books about buddha etc. and even wear the string thing you get from a temple.

but then things changed when i went to church.

i started to EXPEREIENCE God. &i just couldn't fathom it.

i just.....changed.

& voila!

you have the now me who is a non vulgar person. who is trying hard to be selfless, non judgmental, friendly, outspoken, humble.... etc.

i am human afterall.

and sometimes i fail.

sometimes i fail damn badly.

and i get up and learn from my mistakes!

and every single day, i fight the good fight.

every single day, i know i will be accountable for my actions.

and so...................................i am careful.

but there's always that few times you slip up.

but do you continue on the floor? mope-ing &whining? or do you pick yourself up, grow stronger than ever, &fight for what made you Believe in the first place?
